JAPAN’S ‘GO TO TRAVEL’ SUBSIDY PLAN TO INCREASE ITS COST BEARING BY HALF FROM OCTOBER

• Japan’s ‘Go To Travel’ subsidy plan to reduce its cost bearing by half from October.
• Previously the government covered only 35 percent of the travelers’ cost.
• The entire program is about $12.7 billion.
• Around 7.81 million travelers took advantage of the 35 percent discount.
• The program had kicked off from July 22.
