• Losses in banking and energy stocks pulled down the Thai standard index by nearly 1.4%.

On Wednesday Southeast Asian stock markets fell. The reason being the fast spread of coronavirus beyond China upset investors, with Philippine shares, dropped more than 4% in catch-up trade.
