Samsung spends $500 million in manufacturing facilities for smartphones in India

Samsung was once India's market leader for smartphones, which Chinese smartphone Xiaomi dethroned. In 2018 Samsung set up its largest manufacturing plant for smartphones in Noida. Now, the brand has invested $500 million, according to a company filing, to set up a display manufacturing unit around the country's capital city.
