Ika comes from a modest farming family in the East of Java where she was brought up just in the rice fields to follow her parents' footsteps.
It wasn't much of a decision to attend school. At the age of 12, she decided "to move to the city as a prostitute, basically to not get married to anyone," she reflects today in her store in Kerobokan, Badung, Bali, an affluent town.
