For the first time in more than four years, South Korea's semiconductor output decreased, indicating chipmakers are preparing for a slowdown in global demand.
According to Statistics Korea statistics released on Friday, semiconductor manufacturing fell 1.7% in August compared to a year earlier, marking a significant turnaround from the 17.3% increase reported in July.
