Europe Wants to Rule the Internet with its Principles

As geopolitical tensions surrounding the control of technology increase, Europe is pitching principles on how the internet should run.

On Wednesday, the European Commission presented the Digital Decade Principles that define the bloc’s stance on how the digital economy should respect democracy, freedom of choice, privacy, security, and solidarity.
