DUCK FARMING IN THAILAND, COMMON PRACTICE ADOPTED BY FARMERS

HIGHLIGHTS

• As Thailand harvest rice crop in this piece of land, a group of around 10,000 ducks is moved towards the overwhelmed fields to eat up bugs, for example, snails covering up in the rice stubble.

This has been the age-long tradition for Thailand to raise ducks in rice-developing regions. Thais call it "ped lai thoong", which signifies "field chasing ducks".
