Zika vaccine – A shield for mom and the fetus

A team of researchers at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston conducted a study to test the effectiveness of Zika vaccine. They found that a single higher dose of the vaccine is capable of protecting both mother and the fetus. However, the results of the study also reveal that a single and a less potent dose is not that effective. The findings were published in Nature Communications.
