A new study reveals that water births are no more risky than land births. Also, lesser first and second-degree tears are observed in women during water births.
From two midwifery practices, researchers analyzed 2025 land births and 397 water births. For neonatal intensive care admissions, scientists did not observe any difference. The rates for postpartum hemorrhage were similar for both water births as well land births.<....
