US OPEN: SERENA WILLIAMS DEFEATS FELLOW AMERICAN STEPHENS IN THE THIRD ROUND

After beating Russia’s Gasparyan in the second round of the US Open, the 23 times Grand Slam winner Serena Williams on Saturday defeated Sloane Stephens in the third round of the tournament. 
The 38-year-old started the game by losing the first set 2-6 but then picked up her game and crushed fellow American by winning second and third set 6-2, 6-2.
