UAE eases restrictions on cannabis chemicals

The United Arab Emirates is known for announcing long terms in jail to those caught transporting or dealing with drugs. However, it has now eased its drug laws and penalties for travelers. 

According to the new law, travelers caught carrying food or drinks containing cannabis will not be imprisoned as long as it is their first time. The food or drink, however, will be confiscated and destroyed.
