TYPHOON MAYSAK PUMMELS SOUTH KOREA LEAVING ONE DEAD AND COUNTLESS HOMELESS

• Typhoon Maysak swept across South Korea, leaving one person dead and another injured in its wake.
• It also caused power outages, disrupting transportation and damaging homes and farmland, authorities said Thursday.
