Traditional Thai massage recognized by UNESCO’s heritage list

The practice of Nuad Thai, which is the back-cracking traditional massage of Thailand, has been added to the UNESCO’s ‘intangible cultural heritage’ list.

UNESCO is the agency under the United Nations for culture, education, and science. The addition in its heritage list reflects that the practices under it shall be preserved for future generations and efforts shall be made to safeguard it.
