TOKYO STOCKS OPENED LOW ON FRIDAY TRADING OVER INCREASING COVID-19 INFECTIONS

• Tokyo stocks opened low on Friday trading over increasing COVID-19 infections.
• The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 143.50 points.
• Topix index of all First Section issues on the TSE was down at 1.20 points.
• Stock issues saw decliners in companies led by marine transportation, pulp and paper, glass, and ceramic product.
