The latest reports underline efforts taken by Sony Corp. to manufacture the in-demand image sensors. For the second consecutive year, the company runs its chip factories even through the holiday season in order to cope with the demand for sensors used in mobile phone cameras, stated the head of Sony’s semiconductor unit, Terushi Shimizu.
