Thai authorities have released the exiled Lao political activist seeking asylum in the country on bail. The activist was arrested on Saturday for overstaying his visa.
Khoukham Keomanivong is a member of the Free Lao group that is a strong supporter of democracy. The political activist was threatened with deportation to his country which he had fled from 2019.
