Sweden shuts down nuclear plant’s reactor

The nuclear plant in Sweden has shut down one of its reactors after four decades of continuous operation. Located in Varberg, Ringhals 2 was switched off at 9 am. The south-western Swedish nuclear power plant had spent the last 43 years producing the equivalent of required power to satisfy the needs of Gothenburg city.
