Supply From Nigeria to Replace Russian Gas Supply in the EU

The Deputy Director General, Matthew Baldwin, of the European Commission’s energy department, stated that EU member countries are seeking an increase in Nigerian gas supply as they plan to cut its import from Russia.

Currently, 14 percent of the European Union’s LNG supply comes from Nigeria. According to Baldwin, Nigeria possesses the potential to double this supply.
