Somkid's hat is in the ring for PM

Former Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak has accepted an offer to run for prime minister on behalf of the newly formed Sang Anakhot Thai Party (Building Thailand's Future).

Sontirat Sontijirawong, the party's secretary-general, stated on Sunday that Mr Somkid is prepared to run for the position after being approached.
