S.KOREA’S FIRST MILITARY SATELLITE TRANSCENDS GEOSPACE TO ENTER GEOSTATIONARY ORBIT

  • South Korea’s military satellite penetrated the geostationary orbit exactly 10 days after liftoff.
  • This was particularly stated by the arms procurement agency.

The ANASIS-II fired last week from Florida atop the Flacon9 rocket manufactured by US commercial space firm SPACEX entered space at a fixed position some 36,000 Kms above the earth at 7.11 am (Korean Time).
