Singapore’s Solution for its Economic Recovery: A Raise in Taxes

The government of Singapore government has decided to raise taxes, which include property taxes along with income taxes for some salary tiers, as it is the aim of the country to generate enough revenue so that it meet the ever-increasing demands like health care and other necessary services.

"We will need to generate more revenue," Finance Minister Lawrence Wong stated on Friday, as he presented the annual budget.
