Scotland goal on climate change stepchange in ambition

Economic progress is required in the next 12 months if the new greenhouse gas reduction goal for Scotland is to be met, a study warned.

The Climate Change Committee (CCC) said the country's 2045 net-zero emission goal for Scotland was a "step-change in ambition."

It said that Scotland must now "walk the talk" ahead of the COP26 summit.
