On Wednesday, South Korean stocks declined over 1 percent owning to tensed situations growing amid the Middle East affairs, following reports that Iran fired multiple missiles at U.S. airbases in Iraq.
As a result, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dropped 24.23 points, or 1.11 percent, to settle at 2,151.31. Trading volume stood at 900 million shares worth 8.6 trillion winning (7.3 billion U.S. dollars).
