S KOREA COVID-19 CASES SHOW NO RESPITE NEARING 700 DESPITE ENHANCED SOCIAL DISTANCING

• South Korea's new virus cases reached as high as 700 on Wednesday on surging community infections despite the heightened social distancing measures.
• The country registered 686 fresh virus cases, including 662 home-grown ones, increasing the total caseload to 39,432, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA).
