Plans to charge for single-use cups under a new law in Scotland

A charge is applied to single-use drinks cups under planned legislation.

The move is brought forward within the Scottish government's Circular Economy Bill, with the amount of the charge to be set following a consultation and approval by Holyrood.

If passed, the charge may then in future be applied to different things established to cause environmental damage.
