Observers barred from UN talks after protest

After a protest inside the conference, environmentalists and observers have been barred from UN climate talks in Madrid.

After staging a sit-in and preventing access to one of the negotiating halls, around 200 climate campaigners were ejected. To prevent their entry to the talks, their badges were removed. All other observers were then barred from the talks, in the wake of the disruption.
