As the concern over foreign interference intensifies ahead of elections next year New Zealand will ban foreign donations to politicians and tighten up disclosure rules for government ads.
On Tuesday the government said that it would pass a bill prohibiting NZ$50 ($32) in donations to political parties and foreign candidates.
