An interdisciplinary team at the University of Basel, Switzerland, has managed to establish a direct way into the nuclei of living cells for the use of artificial nanocontainers. To this end, the polymer vesicles have been biocompatible and can cross the pores of the membrane of the nucleus of the cells. This could allow the transport of drugs directly to the control center of the cell.
