Microsoft is helping the environment by removing its carbon footprint

On Thursday, Microsoft Corp said its goal is to take more carbon out of the atmosphere than it will inject by 2030, and that it is hopeful that by 2050.

Focusing on removing existing carbon from the environment distinguishes Microsoft's climate objectives from other company commitments that are aimed at cutting or preventing emissions in the future.
