According to Reuters, Nestle among other EU companies have demanded to their palm oil suppliers in Malaysia and Indonesia to ensure the hydrocarbons entering the palm oil during the process of manufacturing be cut down. These hydrocarbons find their way in to palm oil because of the mineral oil it comes into contact with during the production stages, packaging or storage.
