Local leaders pledged to reject a proposal by minor parties to modify administrative legislation

The pro-reform Progressive Movement is rallying support for its constitutional amendment campaign targeted at amending decentralization clauses.

It aims to collect 100,000 signatures by the end of June, and if it accomplishes that goal, a resolution to amend the constitution's Chapter 14 on provincial administration will be introduced in parliament, possibly in November.
