KSOE AND SAMSUNG HEAVY INDUSTRIES BAG ORDERS WORTH 1 TRILLION WON FOR CRUDE CARRIERS

• Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE) and Samsung Heavy Industries have bagged orders for a total of 13 crude carriers. The sum total of the ships under question exceeds 1 trillion won.
• KSOE, a shipbuilding arm of Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, announced on Nov. 17 that it has sealed an order for 10 300,000-ton very large crude carriers (VLCCs) from an Oceania-based shipping company.
