In Mexican culture, the belief that there are three deaths for a person is common. The first death is the ‘actual death’, the second is when your body decays and the last is when all those who remembered you are gone. Keeping a person alive is a key component in many cultures, with there being many ways such as carrying down a family name for generations to come, or burying the body in a garden or by telling stories.
