As the strike by employees of energy firm TotalEnergies began its third week on Monday, filling stations across France ran low on gasoline despite government attempts to bargain.
Official estimates suggest that 30% of gas stations were completely or partially out of fuel, leading to huge lines of increasingly anxious drivers.
