France will hold a national debate on assisted suicide laws.

This week, France will launch a national debate on whether rules governing end-of-life care (assisted suicide) should be amended.

The consultation procedure comprises 150 French individuals who were chosen at random to debate the subject in sessions between now and March and submit their findings to the government.
