The state government has ended a driver education program that helped Southern Australian older drivers stay healthier behind the wheel as the taxi ranks at its highest in a decade. This year 113 people died and about one-third of those people were over 60 years of age on southern Australian roads. The South Australia Council on Aging oversaw the move right alongside the service to over 2,500 drivers in the province.
