That was brought to light yesterday when big retail brands Bunnings, The Good Guys, and Kmart were found to be utilising facial recognition on customers.
The corporations were "collecting the biometric data of their customers," according to a CHOICE investigation, and 76% of buyers were unaware that the technology was utilised in Australian retailers.
