EU designates certain nuclear and natural gas as green

EPA disagrees with TVA's plan to build a gas plant to replace a coal plant. In contrast, it is more difficult for natural gas to remain a bridging fuel in the US.

The Tennessee Valley Authority was recently instructed by the Environmental Protection Agency to reevaluate its first choice to replace its largest coal plant with a natural gas facility and to select "Cheaper and Cleaner" choices instead.
