Madrid, December 1, 2021. Elawan Energy has signed an agreement with Gonvarri Solar Steel for the supply of more than 1,000 solar trackers that will enable the installation of 800,000 modules (solar panels) in the towns of Torrijos (Toledo), Escuderos (Cuenca) and Belinchón (Cuenca). These solar trackers will be supplied through turnkey contracts for the plants.
Currently, these nine solar photovoltaic power plants promoted by Elawan Energy are in the construction phase and are expected to come into operation during 2022. The commissioning of these projects will allow Elawan Energy to generate 880 GWh of photovoltaic electricity, enough to cover the consumption of the city of Albacete for more than three years.

The trackers provided by Gonvarri Solar Steel are structures that allow the solar panels to be oriented in relation to the movement of the sun, obtaining the maximum efficiency of the installations. Specifically, this agreement includes the supply of TracSmarT+ 1V bifilar and monofilament trackers for 440MWp.
