Dubai is the world's most overworked city, but expats think the benefits of living there make it worthwhile.

Colette Sullivan, a 30-year-old hotelier from the United Kingdom, has a fairly typical workweek.

"My days aren't always the same owing to the nature of my profession," Sullivan told Insider, "but my hours are normally 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with an early finish of 5 p.m. on Friday." "After work, I'll go shopping, catch up with friends, or, during the winter, enjoy the last rays of the light outside."
