Culls will be undertaken in areas that come under the Scottish National Forest Estate and are intended to reduce the damage caused by deer to the ecosystem.
Forestry and Land Scotland said the project would be carried out in a human and cost-effective manner, adding that the work could expand to include other species, such as foxes, feral goats and feral pigs.
That says the current rates of deer cull are not going to rise. ....
