The Chung-Hua Institute for Economic Research (CIER) said it increased its estimate for growth in Taiwan's gross domestic product (GDP) by 2020 on Thursday.
The move comes in the wake of increased domestic investment by Taiwanese companies with overseas operations, and the consequences of trade diversion in the current global trade disputes.
