BRITISH ESTHER (37) MISSING AFTER HIKING IN PYRENEES

Esther Dingley was at the top of Pic de Sauvegarde on the French-Spanish border when she last interacted with her partner Dan Colegate on WhatsApp a week ago.

The couple had been traveling together in a camper for six years, but Esther went out alone for a few days. The woman would normally end her solo trek on Wednesday, but nothing more was heard from her. Her boyfriend said he was "broken" by her disappearance. He is currently residing on a farm in Gascony in southwestern France while the search is underway.

"Search and rescue teams have not found a trace of her so far," Colegate wrote on Facebook. “Esther believes in the power of positive thinking. I keep hoping she will be found. I cannot face the alternative. ”

In a post on social media, the gendarmerie wrote that they are still “actively looking” for Esther Dingley, who is an experienced walker.
