Brigitte Giraud, a French author, has won the Prix Goncourt, France's most prestigious literary award, for her book Vivre Vite (Live Fast), the academy said on Thursday.
Giraud, 56, is the 13th woman to receive the Goncourt award in its 120-year history, which is customarily announced by the Goncourt school at Paris' Drouant restaurant. She is the first woman to win since Leila Slimani won in 2016 with Chanson Douce (Lullaby)....
