Before being returned to Nigeria, dozens of bronze sculptures from Benin will be seen for the last time in Berlin's brand-new Humboldt Museum.
The move is a part of the nation's slow reckoning with crimes done by the previous German empire, particularly the genocide Germany sponsored in Namibia. The artwork was taken during the colonial era from the African Kingdom of Benin.
