Thai voters went to the polls on Sunday to elect a new governor in a race that was delayed by a military coup but still shows the country's divisions, with the main contenders backed by either the conservative establishment or the liberal opposition.
There were a total of 31 contenders in the contest, but the battle being followed the most is between two independents.
