Australia has a once-in-a-lifetime chance to free itself from the grip of fossil fuels on our politics

Following the Green and Teal tsunami that swept through the federal legislature, the focus has unavoidably shifted to what the new crossbenchers will say and do on climate policy.

So far, the focus has been on Australia's 2030 emissions reduction target, and if the Teals will exert pressure on the new Labor government to raise its relatively modest (but formally pledged) commitment.
