Thailand rejects Beijing's offer to buy Yuan-class submarines without German technology

Thailand's Prime Minister, Prayut Chan-o-cha, warned in April that the proposed procurement contract with China could be cancelled if Beijing was unable to equip the engines stipulated in the original purchase agreement due to worries over missing German engines in Chinese submarines.
