South Africa wins its first gold medal in DWC

South Africa's first gold medal at the 2019 Dubai World Championships was won by 27-year-old Anrune Weyers (Liebenberg) in the 400-meter women's T47 with a championship record (55.79), which was not even anticipated by the 27-year-old sprinter. Two other South Africans won bronze.
