Thailand Has Announced the Introduction of 9-dollar Visitor Fee

Thai officials have announced that the country will be charging a 9-dollar entry fee from foreigners traveling into the kingdom despite its efforts to lure visitors from abroad to recover its tourism sector from the impact of the pandemic.

The country’s strict rules for entrance for containing the spread of the virus in 2021 led to the worst performance of the country’s tourism economy in more than twenty years.
